Vegas Getaway

We are nearing the end of the month, thankfully some of our basketball season has come to an end. I love watching the kids, but man it takes up all of our week and Saturdays! Now we just need the weather to cooperate, so we can finish the outside projects and wrap up the final things that need to be moved! Nate and I were able to get away for a few days to see Vegas last week! This was our first time and wow I must say, I see why you can only stay a few days, lol! It was fun and we were glad we were able to go and see what it was all about! I wanted to share some of the things that we did and the outfits I wore!


First sharing my travel outfit, because being comfy and cute is the best while traveling! I typically wear leggings or joggers and layers! Especially if you are traveling to warmer or colder climates. And of course comfy shoes!



We ended up arriving at dinner time on Saturday, so we just walked around the hotel we stayed at, Encore, and had a quick dinner at Wazuzu, one of the restaurants there. It was excellent sushi and noodles! The time change had us to bed early. On Sunday we did some sightseeing and a few of my favorites that my followers recommended were the fountains at the Bellagio, they go off every thirty minutes and it is coordinated to music and just such a cool thing to see. The weather was so beautiful, I could've stayed there for a while just relaxing and watching the fountains!

Next, we headed to the Cosmo hotel, where we had a drink at The Chandelier bar. The chandeliers were absolutely spectacular! A must-see for sure!

There were a couple of places that people had recommended we check out at this hotel, but with it being Super Bowl Sunday, it was a little crazy. We did, however, get the coveted drink from The Chandelier bar called the verbena, the drink is not on the menu! You have to ask for it! It is served with a specific flower called the Szechuan Button, or "buzz button" that enhances your taste buds! We chewed the flower and it kinda gave a tingly, numbing sensation, and then you are supposed to sip your drink. The sensation only lasts a few minutes and then dissipates. It enhanced Nate's tastebuds, but when I tasted the drink it just tasted really salty. The waitress said that that was a common reaction to the drink! You can actually order the flowers here, we thought of doing it when we had an adult party for fun! The drink was excellent, like a sweet lemon head! We ordered one drink, two flowers!

Nate had made dinner reservations at the Paris Hotel, there was a special for Valentine's, a 5-course meal and it was fabulous! It overlooked the fountain show at The Bellagio, so we got to watch the fountains at night too, which I would recommend! We dressed up a little for this date night! The dress I wore was perfect for travel, it doesn't wrinkle and has tummy ruching, so it camouflages well! Fits tts, wearing size small.

The following day I was able to attend the fashion market with my friend who has a boutique, this was the main reason I was able to go to Vegas! I had so much fun helping her pick pieces for her boutique. You have to check it out, her website is here. After the fashion market, Nate took me to an Italian dinner for Valentine's Day. It was so good and they had a live band that was also very good. My outfit that night was my faux leather pants, a satin cami, and a blazer draped over my shoulders since it did get a little chilly at night.





I know some people love Vegas more than others, however, I do think it is a must-see even if it is only for a few days! We would love to go back and spend some more time sightseeing!
