Well, we are over halfway through the week and I am so excited to share my experience at Healing Waters Spa in Wichita, Kansas that I had this past week! This year has just been tough, I just feel like I'm struggling to catch up, the winter blues, the cold and flu season. I have just been exhausted! I saw this package at Healing Waters Spa when I went in for a Valentine's Day treat, which has blown any spa experience I have had out of the water! But, I was intrigued by the Reset Package.
First, this package was at 40% off, so right there I was interested, I love a good deal! It includes a luxe facial, I haven't had a facial in a long time, so I was excited about that! A Revive IV , which I didn't even know this was something you could do! But anything full of vitamins and nutrients is a good thing, I am always interested in feeling healthier! This IV is full of vitamin C, B12, B-complex, B6, zinc, magnesium, and selenium. It is great for an immune system boost, the magnesium helps muscle cell function and with the nervous system, it improves relaxation and reduces muscle cramps from working out. So basically all the things I was needing! And lastly, it includes a 1-day juice cleanse from 86 Cold Press. I have wanted to do a juice cleanse, I just never committed to doing one. I always came up with excuses as to why I couldn't. This prevented me from having an excuse, I had to do it!
So last week I went in for my luxe facial and my Revive IV, honestly just walking into Healing Waters Spa instantly relaxes me. The calming environment, the soothing music and I really love the flavored water! I could sit and relax all day just in the waiting area! The facial was amazing, the masks and massage were very much needed! And I love the warmth of the steam!
After extractions, hand and foot massages, she massaged my face with these amazing globes. When they touched my face, I came out of my relaxing sleep and had to find out what she was using! These freezer glass globes, the coolness, and smoothness going over my face felt SO good! I had to find out how to get some! These are perfect to use after you wash your face at night and great to depuff in the morning! The good news, you can get them from Healing Waters Spa! They are going to be selling them! The smaller ones are used for around the eyes and the larger ones for the facial area! You definitely need a pair, they would also make a great gift too!
Next up, the Revive IV! Since having kids, needles have not been something I look forward to. But it went super fast and I didn't even flinch! I just sat there for about 20-30 minutes while the IV went through.
After that, I was good to go! After I had gotten home, I did feel a surge of energy, it felt like I had, had caffeine but in a good way! I did have to go to the bathroom a couple of times through the night, which is not normal for me, so I would maybe recommend scheduling your appointment earlier in the day! Mine was at 6pm! The next few days I felt great, I feel like my cold was flushed out a lot faster. And my body wasn't achy or sore like it normally is after a workout. I definitely think it is something to try if you are feeling sluggish or needing that extra boost of vitamins and nutrients.
I was sent home with 6 juices from 86 Cold Press to do a 1-day juice cleanse. I just did the
cleanse this past Monday. I was excited and a little nervous, to say the least! I love to eat, I love to snack! I've had a few of the juices from 86 before and loved them. It makes it so nice to have one in Bradley Fair, I can grab one for my lunch when I am at work!
This was the line-up! The purpose of a 1-day cleanse is to just do a quick reset/detox of the body. I did not work out the day that I did the cleanse! The juices were all really good! The green juices and the beet one were the only ones I had not tried before. I really enjoyed them, I thought they would taste really earthy, but they didn't! So if you are worried about the taste, I wouldn't be! The juices were scheduled every two hours and I had a hard time trying to get them all in within the two hours. I actually felt full all the time and just wasn't ready to have another juice yet. Some I drank faster than others.
The toughest part of the cleanse was making lunch and dinner for the kids, the smell of food and just being around it, in general, was really hard. I'm so used to grazing! After dinner, I was feeling a little weak and was just wanting to go to bed. I actually had great energy all day, I never felt tired. I only felt weak at the end of the day and the next morning my workout was tough. It was weird, I was really excited to have food again the next day, but my body felt so good, I really didn't want to eat! The feeling of feeling so good, was awesome! I did of course eat and was fine, I did have a little bit of a belly ache after lunch, but it passed. My thoughts after the cleanse?! Highly recommend, I can't wait to do another one and possibly do the 3-day cleanse! It really refocuses your mind and body to think about what you are really needing versus what you are really wanting! It definitely makes me think twice about grabbing that extra serving of food!
